Huang Guangyu May Face $146 Million Fine Plus Jail, Beijing Daily Reports

Huang Guangyu, founder of Gome Electrical Appliances Holdings Ltd., may face a fine of about 1 billion yuan ($146 million), the Beijing Daily reported today, citing an unidentified lawyer.

Huang was charged with bribery, insider trading and illegal operations and is scheduled to be sentenced today, the newspaper said. Huang could be given prison time of as much as 20 years if found guilty on all three charges, according to the report.
