Tottenham’s England center-back Ledley King has signed a new contract to keep him at the Premier League soccer club until 2012.
The 29-year-old, who has spent his entire career at Spurs, told the club’s website he “could never see myself going anywhere else.”
“We’ve got the prospect of Champions League football next season and with the quality of players we have I believe we are on the brink of something big,” King told the website.
King has made 290 appearances for Tottenham, including 21 this season as he helped the club finish fourth in the Premier League to earn a spot in the final qualifying round for the Champions League.
He has been included by England coach Fabio Capello in a 30- man preliminary squad for the June 11 to July 11 World Cup in South Africa.
