Ex-BP Boss Browne May Get Government Role From Conservatives, Sky Reports

John Browne, BP Plc’s former chief executive officer, has been approached by the U.K.’s Conservative Party about a position overseeing the implementation of policy, Sky News said, without citing anyone.

The offer is in line with the party election manifesto’s pledge to recruit private-sector people and appoint a “super director” to overlook all government departments, Sky said.
