Citigroup Hires Francis as Head of EMEA Mid-Cap Equities, Replacing Moon

Citigroup Inc. hired Marc Francis as head of mid-cap equities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa to replace Andy Moon, who has left the firm to join rival Barclays Capital.

Francis, who was most recently head of mid-cap trading at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London, will join Citigroup next week, according to Citigroup’s London-based spokesman Jeffrey French.

Moon left Citigroup to join Barclays Capital, the securities unit of Barclays Plc in London, according to a person familiar with the matter who declined to be identified. Mark Wright, John Celaschi and Matthew Austin, who reported to Moon, have also departed from Citigroup, two people familiar with the moves said. All three were unavailable to comment.

Citigroup’s French declined to comment beyond Francis’s appointment. A spokesman for Barclays Capital also declined to comment when contacted by Bloomberg News.
