Magnitogorsk Says April Steel Output Rose 51% From Year Earlier
OAO Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel said it increased production of steel products 51 percent last month from a year earlier.
Magnitogorsk produced 912,000 metric tons of steel products in April, spokesman Yevgeny Kovtunov said in an e-mailed response to questions today. That equates to a 1.3 percent increase from March, according to Bloomberg data.
Cold-rolled steel output rose the most in April, climbing 10 percent to 103,000 tons from the previous month on higher demand from automakers, Kovtunov said.
