Lufthansa Chief Mayrhuber May Have Contract Extended, Handelsblatt Reports

Deutsche Lufthansa AG Chief Executive Officer Wolfgang Mayrhuber may stay in office beyond the company’s next shareholder meeting in April 2011, Handelsblatt reported, citing unidentified company executives.

The supervisory board hasn’t made a decision YET on whether Mayrhuber’s deputy Christoph Franz will succeed him, the newspaper said. Mayrhuber’s contract expires later this year, according to the report.
