European Banks Concerned About Greece Crisis, Monte Paschi Chiarman Says

Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA Chairman Giuseppe Mussari said the banking industry is worried about the Greek budget crisis and called for politicians to find a solution as soon as possible.

“The Greek crisis should be resolved as soon as possible,” Mussari said in an interview on the sidelines of a conference in Rome. “Europe, not only the banking industry, needs to be concerned about it.”

Monte dei Paschi’s “small exposure” to Greece is 20 million euros ($26.4 million), Mussari said.

“There are no risks for Italy,” Mussari also said.
