China International Travel's First Quarter Net Income Increases 82 Percent

China International Travel Service Corp.’s first quarter net income rose 82 percent on a year earlier to 109 million yuan ($16 million), according to a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

First quarter sales rose 55 percent to 1.7 billion yuan, the statement said.

Full-year net income for 2009 was 312.8 million yuan, a 41 percent increase on the year before, as sales rose 4.2 percent to 6 billion yuan for the year, the Chinese travel agency operator said in a separate statement.
