Israel Lifts Ban on Apple's iPad, Finding Device Can Meet Local Standards

Israel has lifted a ban forbidding tourists and citizens from bringing Apple Inc.’s iPad into the country, the Communications Ministry said in an e-mailed statement.
The ministry earlier this month requested that Israeli customs confiscate iPads brought in to the country at Ben-Gurion Airport, saying the product’s Wi-Fi transmitter did not conform to local standards.
