Gazprom, EDF to Complete Talks on South Stream Pipeline Within Two Months

OAO Gazprom Chief Executive Officer Alexei Miller said talks with EDF SA on the French power producer joining the South Stream pipeline link will be completed in the next month and a half or two months.

Gazprom and Italy’s Eni SpA have an understanding on EDF’s entry, Miller told journalists in Vienna, where Austria today became the seventh country to join the pipeline.

A feasibiltiy study on South Stream will be completed in February 2011, Miller said.

“South Stream is economically efficient and technically engineerable,” Miller said.
