Bruins Beat Sabres 5-3 to Tie NHL Playoff Series at One Game Apiece

The Boston Bruins beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-3 to tie their National Hockey League first-round playoff series at one game each.

Michael Ryder and Zdeno Chara had two goals each for he Bruins, who scored three third-period goals at HSBC Arena in Buffalo. Mark Recchi added an empty-net goal to clinch the victory.

The best-of-seven Eastern Conference series shifts to Boston for Game 3 in two days.
