Biarritz, Munster Win at Home to Reach Semifinals of Heineken Cup Rugby

Biarritz beat Ospreys 29-28 and Munster defeated Northampton 33-19 to set up one semifinal in rugby union’s Heineken Cup.

Iain Balshaw and Takudzwa Ngwenya scored tries and Damien Traille kicked three drop goals for Biarritz. Doug Howlett had two tries and Ronan O’Gara kicked 13 points to lead Munster.

The last semifinal place will be filled tomorrow as Toulouse hosts Stade Francais in an all-French matchup. The winner faces defending champion Leinster, which defeated Clermont Auvergne 29-28 last night. The semifinals will be played May 1 and 2.
