Ferrostaal Faces `High' Fine in Probe of Alleged Bribes, Sueddeutsche Says

German industrial-plant contractor Ferrostaal AG faces a "high" fine amid a probe examining whether officials were bribed to win contracts, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reporter today.
Munich prosecutors will ask for a fine that's even higher than the 120 million euros they demanded after first investigations last year, Sueddeutsche said, without citing anyone.
Ferrostaal is majority owned by Abu Dhabi's International Petroleum Investment Co.. German truckmaker MAN SE also owns a stake in Ferrostaal.
