Greece Gets Offers From FCC, Aktor for Thessaloniki Subway
Greece got bids from six construction groups for a 425 million-euro ($592 million) project to build a subway line in Thessaloniki, the country’s second-biggest city.
Ellaktor SA (ELLAKTOR)’s Aktor unit, Michaniki SA (MHXAK) and a group comprising Aegek Construction, Impregilo SpA (IPG), Seli and Ansaldo STS SpA (STS) made offers in the first phase of the tender, according to an e-mailed statement from the Greek Public Works Ministry today.
Other bids came from Mochlos SA (MOCHL) with Dragados SA; Terna SA in partnership with Alpine Bau GMBH and FCC Construction SA (FCC); and J&P-Avax SA (AVAX), with Ghella SpA and Alstom Transport SA. (ALO)
The ministry, which aims to complete the competition by July 2010, will now draw up a short list of candidates for the second phase, which includes financial bids.
