Severn Trent Says Drop in Water Usage Has ‘Leveled Out a Bit’

Severn Trent Plc, the U.K.’s second- biggest water company, said the decline in water consumption by businesses has slowed.

“It’s leveled out a bit,” Chief Executive Officer Tony Wray said on a conference call today.

Water usage was down by as much as about 6 percent at one point last year as automakers cut production, Chief Financial Officer Mike McKeon said.
