China Railway Group Wins Contracts Worth About 11 Billion Yuan

China Railway Group Ltd. (390), Asia's biggest construction company, said it won contracts worth a total of 11 billion yuan ($1.6 billion).

The projects include construction works on a new railway linking Tianjin and another northern Chinese city, China Railway said today in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange.

The value of the contracts is equal to 6.2 percent of its 2007 sales under Chinese accounting standards, it said.
