Simmer & Jack Mines Ltd., a South African gold producer, said third-quarter output rose 16 percent from a year earlier after it added new projects.
Production increased to 41,046 ounces in the quarter ended Dec. 31, Johannesburg-based Simmer & Jack said in a statement to the city's stock exchange today. That's 1.9 percent less than the previous quarter's 41,846 ounces.
Simmer lost 37 cents, or 6.6 percent, to 5.25 rand in Johannesburg trading, giving the company a market value of 5.58 billion rand ($786 million).
