NCC AB (NCCA), the second-largest builder in the Nordic region, won a 263 million-kronor ($39 million) order from the Swedish Railway Administration to build a viaduct for cargo trains in Gothenburg.
The 640-meter (2,100-foot) bridge will replace an existing structure, Stockholm-based NCC said in a statement today. Construction will start in the autumn and be finished in March 2010. The bridge will include a 130-meter steel portion with the rest made from concrete.
The order will probably be booked in the third quarter, spokeswoman Annica Gerentz said by telephone.
