"We want to make sure folks have a good weekend," says Robyn Ward, director of sales and business development at BetterWorks, a Los Angeles company that helps its clients manage employee perks. BetterWorks already offers food, fitness, and dry cleaning benefits for clients, which include Web video service Hulu. Now, Ward is offering a social perk: access to "folks that are in the know," who can arrange reservations at restaurants or entry to exclusive events. BetterWorks is also signing up "the next generation of dating sites," she says. These services don't just match up employees up on dates; they also organize group outings of single people with similar interests.
