Great Neck Estates is the second-oldest of the nine villages on Long Island's Great Neck Peninsula, incorporated in 1911, according to its website. Residents can enjoy a waterfront park with an Olympic-size swimming pool, all-weather tennis courts, a marina and dock area. Back in the Roaring Twenties, F. Scott Fitzgerald and wife Zelda supposedly lived at 6 Gateway Drive. Ring Lardner and Fanny Brice were also residents.
