Peter O'Toole

Peter O'Toole has the record for the most acting nominations without a win. First nominated for playing T.E. Lawrence (left) in the 1962 epic, "Lawrence of Arabia," the 79-year-old actor has been nominated eight times. He played Henry II in "The Lion in Winter," the title character in 1969's "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" and most recently received a nomination in 2007 for a role in "Venus." The Academy did give O'Toole an honorary award in 2003.
