Steve Carell, 'Dinner for Schmucks'

To entertain their boss, Tim (Paul Rudd) and his coworkers must find "idiots" and invite them to a dinner. Fitting the bill perfectly is Barry, an IRS employee played by Steve Carell, whose hobby is creating elaborate dioramas with dead mice. Barry's wife left him for another "idiot" invited to the dinner, his coworker Therman (Zach Galifianakis). Therman believes he can control minds -- especially Barry's. This skill comes in handy at the IRS, Therman tells Tim: "Men lie to me a thousand times a day."
Tax takeaway: Beware social entanglements with accountants -- and people who create elaborate dioramas with dead mice.
