Roasting

A pan's a pan, right? Well, no. According to Martha Stewart's website, you'll get the best turkey if your roasting pan is heavy with low sides for a smaller roast (about 3 inches high) and high sides for a larger one (about 5 inches high).

$150: Calphalon "Unison" Nonstick 16-Inch Roaster with Rack, Bloomingdale's -- Accommodates up to a 25-pound turkey.

$13: All-Clad Stainless-Steel Turkey Lifters, Crate & Barrel -- Assuming you're strong, these will help you lift the turkey out of the roaster.

$30: Oxo Digital Leave-In Thermometer, Crate & Barrel -- Gives you a 10-degree warning alert.

Running Tally: $316
