Bank of America Meltdown

When: Aug. 1 - 8
What: In the week of Aug. 1-8, Bank of America (BAC) shares dropped 32.96 percent, to $6.51. During this period, American International Group announced that it would sue the bank for $10 billion, and news came out that hedge fund manager David Tepper, of Appaloosa Partners, had sold his stake in BofA. So far this year, the company's stock has dropped more than 40 percent.
