Best Beach for Surfing

Surfing website Surfline says southwestern Australia has the world's best surfing, with experts scoring it 100 out of 100 points. The warm waters of the Indian Ocean whip up storms that regularly smack western Australia, creating big, challenging waves. In the immortal words of Buzzy Trent, "Waves are not measured in feet and inches, they are measured in increments of fear." Scarborough Beach in Perth is shown on the left.
