Best Beach for Sand

Fraser Island, off the eastern coast of Australia, is the largest island in the world that consists entirely of sand. The island is anything but a desert, however. Lakes and rainforest have formed on the dunes, which reach up to 850 feet. Local fauna includes dingoes and flying foxes.
