Glenn Close

Glenn Close was nominated five times in the 1980s -- for roles in such movies as "The Big Chill," "Fatal Attraction" and "Dangerous Liaisons" -- and never won. This year, she is nominated for the Best Actress award for her role (left) in "Albert Nobbs." If she loses, her losing streak would hit a record six, the same as actresses Deborah Kerr and Thelma Ritter.
