Bloomberg Photo Coverage Highlights — Week of Aug. 18, 2014

Monday, Aug. 18
Bloomberg will begin its coverage of White House Pool Day as President Barack Obama visits Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Bloomberg will provide images from Moscow inside a Metro AG supermarket as Russia braces for price growth. Bloomberg will also move images from Tokyo as Softbank unveils new smartphones. In addition, Bloomberg will provide images from Bangkok as Thai GDP figures are released.

Tuesday, Aug. 19
Bloomberg will continue its coverage of White House Pool Day as President Barack Obama returns to Washington. Bloomberg will provide images of beer production at Paulaner Brauerei GmbH in Munich ahead of Oktoberfest. Bloomberg will provide coverage from London as CRH Plc chief executive officer Albert Manifold speaks on earnings and BHP Billiton Ltd. chief executive Andrew Mackenzie also holds a news conference. Bloomberg will also have coverage from Tokyo as HTC CEO Peter Chou holds a news conference unveiling the HTC J Butterfly smartphone and foreign students take part in the Japan Job Fair hosted by Recruit Co.

Wednesday, Aug. 20
Bloomberg will provide images of new home construction at Toll Brother’s Jupiter Country Club Development in Jupiter, Florida. Bloomberg will also move images of automobile manufacture at the Czech Republic’s Hyundai Motor Co. plant in Nosovice. In addition, Bloomberg will move coverage of operations at a container terminal as Japan releases trade numbers.

Thursday, Aug. 21
Bloomberg will begin its coverage of the Federal Reserve Economic Symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Bloomberg will move images from inside the Dennis School Uniforms manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon. Bloomberg will also provide images from the Czech Republic’s biggest dairy manufacturer in Ceske Budejovic as Russian sanctions bite.

Friday, Aug. 22
Bloomberg will continue its coverage of the Federal Reserve Economic Symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Bloomberg will provide images of Finnlines Oyj shipping at Vuosarri Seaport in Helsinki, Finland as the local economy struggles. Bloomberg will also move images of electric car battery production at Bayerische Motoren Werke AG in Dingolfing, Germany. Finally, Bloomberg will move images of laboratory operations at Germany’s diagnostic medical tool maker, Qiagen NV, in Hilden, Germany.
