Hitting the Road

Romney racks up the highest travel expenses thus far in the Republican primary race, shelling out $4.7 million. That compares with Paul's $3.5 million, Gingrich's $1.8 million, and Santorum's $860,407. Candidates have spent almost $20 million on travel costs, including commercial airline flights, car rentals, fuel, hotels, and food.
