City Tours

While you're most likely to spend your time in Mardi Gras festivities, you can take a city tour if you want to take a break from the ruckus. Mark Romig, chief executive of New Orleans Tourism Marketing Assn., says many visitors go to museums, such as New Orleans Museum of Art, or take city tours. Among the many tour options are the Hurricane Katrina Rebirth Tour ($40 per ticket) and the Garden District/Cemetery Tour ($20 per ticket) offered by Historic New Orleans Tours.
