Getting in the Spirit

When it comes to Easter, American don't decorate like they do at Christmas. You won't see giant bunnies or flashing Easter eggs on the front lawns of American homes. Even so, plenty of stores offer Easter decorations. At Pottery Barn, an “Outdoor Running Bunny Stake” -- a stamped tin outline of a bunny to be staked into the lawn -- for $50 could add some holiday spirit. The kids might prefer Hallmark's $31 "Squawkin' Egg Droppin' Hen," which lays plastic eggs to a parody of "Whoomp! (There It Is)." BigInsight says the average consumer will spend $7.63 on decorations, for total sales of $812 million.
