Winter Storage
Storage, which includes hauling the boat, dry-docking it, shrink-wrapping it and blocking it so it doesn't move, costs about $3,000 for a 38-foot boat in Connecticut and about $1,500 in Maine. Unless you live in South Florida or some other tropical location, you need to winterize your boat's heating and cooling systems when it goes into storage and de-winterize when it comes out. Add that in along with other services such as power washing the boat and the price can easily triple.
