Obama's campaign has expenses of more than $13.5 million on Internet media so far, about six times the $2.3 million spent by Romney's campaign. This is the first election in which campaign spending on Internet media -- $20.5 million -- rivals spending on broadcast media, which stands at $22 million, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That comparison isn't apples to apples, though: The Internet media spending includes the cost of website upkeep, creating videos, domain names (godaddy.com got $2,313 from Romney's campaign and $461 from Obama's in January) and more.
