Blankets

In Pennsylvania an old law says that "any motorist who sights a team of horses coming towards him must pull well off the road, cover his car with a blanket or canvas that blends with the countryside, and let the horses pass." There are other reasons to buy blankets. They keep a horse warm, clean and protected against insects. Triple Crown blankets, embroidered with your horse's name, run $249 for a wool dress sheet, $199 for a quilted stable blanket, $149 for a stable sheet and $125 for a net cooler. There are plenty of others, ranging from $60 to $150. Most horses need no more than two or three blankets.
