Spice It Up With Indian

You can learn to cook Indian food in India by booking a tour with Julie Sahni's Gourmet Tours, or start small and take a cooking class at her studio in Brooklyn, New York. Sahni, an accomplished Indian cook and author of "Classic Indian Cooking," will spend two days sharing with you her expertise, including her approach to low-calorie and low-salt cuisine. Among other things, you'll learn to make Indian paneer (cheese), breads and chutneys. Sahni also offers specialty courses, such as Ayurvedic healing vegetarian dishes (foods with medicinal qualities). Courses are two days or three and a half days long.
