Eco-Friendly Paper Products

Americans use 68 million tons of paper products annually, according to the EPA. To count as green, the National Resources Defense Council says paper towels, napkins, tissues and such must be 100 percent recycled, with a large percentage made up of waste from products already used versus scraps from the manufacturing process. In 2008, Americans paid about $4.8 billion for eco-friendly paper products, according to the Natural Marketing Institute.
