Men reach deep when it comes to glitter. More than $4 billion may be spent on jewelry, according to the NRF. Of the men the group surveyed, more than 29 percent plan to give jewelry as a gift and to spend an average $197. Women planning to buy jewelry expect to shell out an average $119. Tiffany alone has about 150 items in the Valentine's Day section of its website, at prices ranging from $50 to $15,000.
