Parade Watching

There is no need to pay extra to watch the festivities -- they're ubiquitous. If you want to get away from the street but not miss the action, some options do exist. Bourbon Vieux, for instance, regularly hosts parties and offers one of the largest balconies overlooking Bourbon Street. On Mardi Gras Day (Fat Tuesday) you can get access to the balcony along with an open bar and buffet for $275.
