Greeting Cards

About 144 million Valentine's Day cards are given out each year, making it the second-largest day for greeting cards, according to Hallmark. (That excludes those packages of Valentines children give out at school.) It's a slower-growing area of the V-Day industry, according to researcher IBISWorld, with sales expected to increase 1.6 percent in 2012.
