The Love of Wine

Becoming an oenophile -- a connoisseur of wines -- can be a lifelong journey. Francois Odouard, a Frenchman living in the U.S., is experiencing the process. "Coming from France, I thought I knew all about wine," says Odouard. "Then I took a wine course and discovered many wines I didn't know."

Bloomberg Rankings examined the cost of becoming a wine connoisseur for a Boston-area couple in their 30s.

Note: Data providers are on the final slide. Brand mentions are not endorsements; many expenses are not recurring. Prices for classes, tours and tastings are for two people.
