The cost of haunting your house depends on how much "Boo" you want. Bloomberg Rankings turned to two haunted-home veterans, Matt Ponke, of Tillson Street in Romeo, Michigan, and Lauren Motlz, of Hyde Park in Chicago, to find out how much it costs to turn your back yard into a cemetery. Ponke runs a haunted house website -- terrorontillson.com -- and in 2005 won the Best House Halloween Decoration award from the Starkweather Arts and Cultural Society in Romeo. Lauren Moltz has been filling her yard with headstones, skeletons and headless bodies for more than 20 years.
Halloween spending is expected to reach $6.86 billion this year, according to the National Retail Federation. Here's what it could cost to decorate your house.
