Feng Shui Coach

After Ken Lauher was mugged at gunpoint in New York, he gave up on the brokerage firm he was running and instead trained in Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art that focuses on balancing energy to create harmony. He became certified by the BTB Feng Shui Master's Training Program and started helping others. Phrantceena Thate Halres, chief executive officer of Total Protections, a security company for nuclear power plants, turned to Lauher for her company and her home. "If your mind is cluttered, you won't be at your highest level of productivity," she says. Lauher added plants, moved furniture and -- in the office -- arranged the floor plan so that no one would sit in a door's direct line, where energy enters the room. Halres says productivity has improved.
