In New York, the informal Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival features some of the most outrageous and comic hats imaginable. In Washington, the First Family will host 35,000 people for the 134th White House Easter Egg Roll on April 9. Meanwhile, in London, the Faberge Company is sponsoring the "Big Egg Hunt," a scavenger hunt that culminates in the auction for charity of 200 Faberge eggs, including one egg valued at 100,000 British pounds ($159,000). It contains 500 grams of rose gold and 60 gemstones honoring Queen Elizabeth II's 60 years on the throne.
