<p>Who wouldn't want a quick fix to lose weight? Quite possibly, Kim Kardashian. The reality TV personality, along with sisters Khloe, Kourtney and others, endorse the QuickTrim Weight Loss System and are being sued in a class action lawsuit for promoting a product that allegedly contains ingredients that "have never been clinically proven as effective treatments for weight loss." The Federal Trade Commission warns that many supplements are dangerous, sometimes containing drugs or chemicals that can lead to stroke, kidney failure and even death. Tampa-based Marketdata Enterprises says sales of diet supplements came to $1.57 billion in 2011.
