Life Coach

In a sense, every coach is a life coach; finding the right one just might require a coach, too. ICF president Janet Harvey of in Edmonds, Washington, has spent 18 years refining her techniques both in the corporate world and as a full-time coach. After 21 years in financial services and at an innovation consultancy, Harvey decided to become an entrepreneur in 2006. One of her clients, Lynnaea Lumbard, president of, credits her company's direction partly to Harvey. "Janet asked the right questions so I could determine what was truest for me," she says. Harvey says that's the trick to coaching -- to ask questions that awaken deep awareness.
