For the second consecutive year Bloomberg is hosting Social Media Week’s “Business and Entrepreneurship Hub,” with sessions around social innovations in business – from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Since its launch in New York City in 2009, Social Media Week has become a leading authority on exploring the social, cultural, and economic impact of social media. It now reaches Media over 100,000 people in 26 cities across the globe.
The sessions at Bloomberg’s HQ will explore how companies can use new data streams from social media to derive strategic business insights and actionable intelligence.
Some Event Highlights:
• Kicking off the Bloomberg hub on Tuesday 2/19, Global Head of Social Media for Ford Motor Company will give a keynote on Ford’s Lessons in Social Media.
• The Big Data Goes Social will tackle what big data means for social media.
• The Social as The Great Equalizer session looks at how Social media has equalized the playing field of traditional social communications and business competition for large and small companies alike – speakers from Nokia, SumZero and American Express.
• Panelists from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Microsoft, and GovLoop will discuss how organizations and individual are utilizing of global, seismic shifts in media, technology and society in the Public Policy & Social Innovation session.
