Bloomberg Hosts Its First Portfolio Manager Mash-Up Conference

February 2, 2012

New York — On the heels of a year when Standard & Poor’s cut
the United States’ rating and placed 15 European nations on
notice for possible downgrades, Bloomberg LINK will convene top
portfolio managers to discuss the key issues that will impact
markets this year at the first-ever Bloomberg Portfolio Manager
Mash-Up Conference.

At the Conference, which will take place at Union Square
Ballroom on Thursday, February 16, 2012, speakers from leading
asset management firms will debate important topics, including
the outlook for sovereign and municipal debt, opportunities in
emerging markets such as China, how the outcome of the
presidential elections in the United States may impact
investors’ tax dollars, and the risks and benefits of investing
in alternative asset classes. The Conference will also feature a
one-on-one interview with John C. Bogle about the future of
investing, speculating and stewardship versus salesmanship.

“This program will bring together some of the best minds in
asset management in an independent venue,” said Robert Bierman,
head of Bloomberg LINK. “Financial advisors and investors who
attend will gain expert insight on investment strategies and
opportunities that will support them in making smart business
decisions this year.”
