On May 1, the components of the S&P/Businessweek Global Innovation Index change to reflect the latest makeup of our Most Innovative Companies ranking. Five new publicly companies climbed onto the 2009 list, based on an international survey of senior executives by our project partner, Boston Consulting Group, and the companies?financial results.
The newcomers are Volkswagen, McDonald’s, AT&T, Coca-Cola, and Vodafone. They succeed General Motors, Boeing, Goldman Sachs, 3M, and Target. The new ranking is even more global: Twelve of the 25 are based outside the U.S.
As in the past, you can keep tabs on each of the Most Innovative Companies on our Innovation Index page. Investors can also visit Standard & Poor’s.
