Digg CEO Jay Adelson was at the Big Tent in Denver this week asking big wigs questions from the Internet hoi polloi.
Adelson interviewed Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi late Wednesday night using questions submitted and voted on by Digg's community. CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric was also tapping Digg's audience for ideas on what Web surfers want to know about their politicians political positions.
Digg is just one of many social media tools enabling Web surfers to address their political leaders at the convention. MySpace is allowing its users to pose questions to politicians on a new debate site, MyDebates.org--echoing a similar effort between YouTube and CNN. The DNC has also provided video upload booths enabling attendees to send videos of the convention floor to social media sites and blogs.
