Colleague Steve Hamm is morphing his Bangalore Tigers into a broader one called Globespotting (no link yet). His idea is that Bangalore Tigers started off focused on Indian outsourcing (and was connected to his book of the same name). Now he’s thinking far beyond India and outsourcing.
I’m not sure I agree with this blog-switching notion. Seems to me that he had a readership with Tigers, and that globally-minded people would soon figure out for themselves that the blog extended beyond Bangalore.
I think blogs have to evolve as we do, but shouldn’t have to shed their names and URLs as they do. I’m grappling with this issue as I strategize about Blogspotting and an upcoming book blog. I’ll be back soon to raise concrete questions about it.
